• Each year, the American Red Cross: Toledo Chapter immediately helps victims in countless disasters in Lucas, Wood and Ottawa counties, helping many families.
• The Greater Toledo Chapter has partnered with Fox 36 to build awareness of fire safety.
• The emergency services focus on disaster victims immediate needs like shelter, food, clothing and other health services.
• In the year of 2008-2009, over 9,195 people attended disaster/ emergency service education presentations.
• The Red Cross provides help to victims so that they can resume their daily normal lives independently.
• The American Red Cross has also introduced on new online program called Be Red Cross Ready, that helps inform people on knowledge about preventing and preparing for possible disasters.
