Not only does the Greater Toledo Chapter help with national disaster, but it also helps daily with many local disasters. According to the Toledo Chapter, house fires are more common then most people think.

The Toledo Chapter helps victims of house fires on average of 4 times a week. Making sure they have shelter and food until they can get back to their normal lives.
- Just in the year of 2008-2009, the Red Cross Greater Toledo Chapter helped over 1,139 people who were victims on disasters to their homes.
- Over 1,000+ volunteers gave their time in the chapter's programs and services, and about 141 students were part of the organization.
